A Strange Kind of Beautiful

It was a privilege to be invited by internationally renowned singer/songwriter, Bruno Major, to direct and animate the music video for his latest single, ‘A Strange Kind of Beautiful’, alongside the incredible talented artist/illustrator, Abigail Burt.

Bruno had a very strong vision for this particular track. A Strange Kind of Beautiful discusses the isolation of true love: the necessity that no-one else can experience what two people are feeling, and this journey became the focal point we wanted to explore throughout the duration of the video.

At the time of the tracks release, AI has taken the world by storm and people were on their devices more than ever. Dall-E 2.0 had tipped the release of it’s infinite zoom feature and we saw this as an enormous opportunity to tap into the technological and cultural phenomenon of the infinite zoom.

Consisting of dozens of hand drawn illustrations, we developed an infinite music video, progressing between dream like sequences which highlighted and utilised key visuals from each line of the song to develop a compelling narrative.
